June 3, 2020 – Bandcamp to Donate Share of Juneteenth Sales to NAACP Legal Defense Fund

In light of the recent acts of racial violence, Bandcamp will donate 100% of their share of sales to NAACP Legal Defence fund, a national organization for enacting racial justice and change, every Juneteenth (June 19th). This week, BuzzAngle unveiled its new rebrand as Alpha Data, and the platform’s subscription tool and service — BuzzAngle Music — now called Alpha Data Music+. April 27, 2020 – Music Biz Member Bandcamp Waives Commissions on Sales for First Fridays in May, June and July

This Friday, May 1, Music Biz member Bandcamp will waive its revenue share on sales of music and merch products, giving 100 percent of the proceeds to artists to support them through the COVID-19 crisis. The company will do the same on Friday, June 5 and Friday, July 3 to further support its artist partners. Bandcamp first took this measure on Friday, March 20, which saw music fans spend $4.3 million in direct support their favorite artists — more than 15 times what is sold on a typical Friday....
