Synchtank has named Janet Kirker as the company’s Chief Product Officer. With more than 20 years of entertainment industry experience, she held roles at EMI Music Publishing, The Walt Disney Company, and most recently as the VP, Rights and Royalties at Warner Music Group. Universal Music Group’s Virgin Music Label & Artist Services (VLMAS) has struck a global partnership with Mushroom, Australia’s largest independent label group. VLMAS will provide global promotion, marketing and audience label services to Mushroom’s existing US and UK infrastructure. Warner Music Group has acquired Qanawat Music, a music distributor providing services in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA).
