November 24, 2021 – Music Biz Member Spotify Relaunches Spotify Charts Site With Expanded Charts & Resources

Spotify has relaunched its Spotify Charts website to include additional resources for artists and listeners. New features on the site include weekly charts, chart data, and songwriter credits. New charts such as Artist Charts track the global performance of the top 200 artists, while Genre Charts follow the weekly top 200 songs across 17 genres. November 24, 2021 – Music Biz Members Twitch and UnitedMasters Launch The Collective Livestream Incubator

Twitch and UnitedMasters have partnered to launch The Collective, a livestream incubator for music creators. This invite-only program will focus on growth, networking and education by offering resources from the Twitch music team, Discord, and industry mentors. Upon completion of the program, creators will have learned how to build engaged communities and monetize their reach on Twitch. Artists will also be eligible for prioritized discovery, promotion, and activations from Twitch, Rolling Stone, and Amazon Music. The Orchard has promoted Priya Dewan to the dual roles of VP of International Marketing, Asia Pacific (APAC) and Managing Director, Southeast Asia & Korea. November 18, 2021 – Music Biz Member CD Baby Provides Video Editing Tools For Artists Through Rotor

Independent music distributor, CD Baby has partnered with video editing platform Rotor to provide artists tools to create visuals for Spotify’s Canvas feature. The video editor allows artists to upload their music videos and select an 8-second clip, which can be enhanced with filters, visual effects, and looping styles. Artists can then preview the loop as it would appear on Spotify. EMPIRE has made history as the first record label to pay an artist advance entirely in Bitcoin.
