Music Biz Member Capitol Music Group Names Michelle Jubelirer First Female CEO In Company’s History

This week, Capitol Music Group announced that Michelle Jubelirer has been promoted to CMG chair & CEO, the first female to lead the company in its 80-year history. She will succeed current chair & CEO, Jeff Vaughn, and will report to Universal Music Group chairman & CEO, Sir Lucian Grainge. In her new role, Jubelirer will oversee Capitol Records, Blue Note Records, Astralwerks, Harvest Records, Capitol Christian Music Group, and Virgin Music Label & Artist Services. She joined the company as EVP in 2013, and was named COO in 2015.
