Facebook, a member of Music Biz, has announced a new wave of music products launching on the social network, aiming to better integrate music into how people share photo and video. The collection of features includes the launch of Music on Facebook Stories and an expansion of Lip Sync Live, as well as a forthcoming option to add songs to a personal profile. October 25, 2018 – Music Biz Member CD Baby Partners with Cosynd to Streamline Copyright Registration
Music Biz member CD Baby has announced a new partnership with legal services platform Cosynd to help creators get their works copyrighted fast. The major digital distributor’s deal with Cosynd allows CD Baby users to document ownership of their content. The legal services platform offers free and paid tiers of services. October 23, 2018 – Music Biz Members SoundCloud and Dubset Partner to Develop Next-Generation Strategies to Clearing Remixes & More
Music Biz members SoundCloud and Dubset Media Holdings have announced a partnership to help solve the clearance of remixes, mixes and more by testing and developing next-generation approaches on the juggernaut streaming platform. The research and development partnership between SoundCloud and Dubset will commence later this year via an invite-only beta program for individual remixes. The companies plan to have the program encompass full DJ sets over time as well. In June 2017, Ramkeesoon had created a business plan for his intended geolocation app, FindMyFans.co, which he presented at the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas in Mexico City.
