Amazon Music has partnered with rapper Lil Durk to fund the Durk Banks Endowment Fund that will provide two students from Chicago a $50,000 scholarship to attend Howard University. April 18, 2023 – YouTube Music Releases Real-Time Lyrics Feature Across Android & iOS

YouTube Music has launched real-time lyrics for the platform’s Android and iOS app users. After more than an year of testing, the music streaming platform has adopted a karaoke-style scrolling lyrics seen on other music streaming services. Music funding platform, beatBread has released a new tool named sliceNote that will enable investors to buy a share of the profits made from the platform’s funding of independent artists. Once the investor has chosen the artist they want to finance, the new feature will allow them to buy a share of the revenue beatBread collects in exchange for the advance allotted to the artist. April 11, 2023 – Music Biz Member Spotify Set To Shut Down Spotify Live Feature

Music streaming platform Spotify is discontinuing its Spotify Live standalone app, with operations officially expected to cease on April 30th.
