December 2, 2022 – Music Biz Member Warner Music Japan Appoints Kazuhiro Shimada as Chief Operating Office

Warner Music Japan has appointed Kazuhiro Shimada to the role of Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s daily business operations, including leading key initiatives and implementing organizational-wide strategies and policies. Shimada previously served as the Director and General Manager of Amazon Music Japan. Amsterdam based B2B distributor FUGA has struck a new deal with US Electronic label group, Insomniac Music Group. December 1, 2022 – Music Biz Member Meta Announces Notorious B.I.G. VR Concert Featuring the Rapper’s ‘Hyper-Realistic Avatar

Meta and the estate for Rap icon, the Notorious B.I.G. have announced “The Notorious B.I.G. November 29, 2022 – Music Biz Member TikTok Hosts #AltMusic LIVE Livestream With Wet Leg

On November 24th, TikTok premiered its first ever #Altmusic LIVE concert livestream with Indie Rock group, Wet Leg on the group’s official TikTok channel. After tickets for Wet Leg’s O2 Kentish Town show sold out within seconds, the TikTok livestream provided fans who couldn’t get a ticket the opportunity to watch the band perform. YouTube Music has released its annual list of artists, producers, and songwriters who have been chosen for the #YouTubeBlack Voices Music Class of 2023. November 18, 2022 – Music Biz Member Vevo Releases Six New Channels On Hulu Live TV

Music video platform, Vevo has announced the December launch of six new channels on U.S. streaming subscription  network Hulu’s live TV service: Vevo Pop, Vevo Hip Hop, Vevo Country, Vevo ‘80s, Vevo ‘90s, and Vevo Holiday.
