Music Biz President James Donio has released the following statement regarding Lil Nas X’s unprecedented 17-week streak atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart: “Since it began its dominance on the Billboard Hot 100 some 17 weeks ago, I’ve had trouble meeting anyone, young or old, who hasn’t had even part of “Old Town Road” stuck in their head. Congratulations to Columbia artist Lil Nas X, who is now irrevocably part of the zeitgeist.
