November 30, 2016 – Scholarship Foundation Now Taking 2017 Applications

The Music Business Association is very pleased to continue to offer an important member benefit by announcing that 2017 applications are now available through its Scholarship Foundation.    To take advantage of this opportunity, the applicant or the applicant’s parent or spouse must be employed by a member company. Students who are members of Music Biz through an Academic Partnership* are also eligible to apply. November 28, 2016 – Music Biz Mourns The Loss of Industry Leader Tony Martell

Music Biz President James Donio released the following statement on the recent passing of Tony Martell: The Music Business Association is extremely saddened by the passing of Tony Martell, one of the industry’s most esteemed and beloved leaders and philanthropists. Tony had a very successful label career working with many outstanding artists, and was a longtime friend and supporter of Music Biz and NARM. But it is what came of his delivering on a commitment he made in 1975 to his dying 19-year-old son TJ that he would raise money so no one else would have to suffer as he was suffering that will forever be his legacy.... November 22, 2016 – [IN THE NEWS] Millennials opt for digital audio, phone connections in cars

RAIN News covered the early results from Music Biz Consumer Insights and LOOP’s latest study of in-car listening, but the final report offers some more detail into the breakdown of technology choices and listener ages. For in-car listening, 75% of respondents said they listen to AM/FM radio. CD listening came in a distant second with 38%, while digital music files had 18% and streaming Internet radio had 15%. November 2, 2016 – Music Biz Mourns The Loss of Former Chairman David Schlang

Music Biz President James Donio released the following statement regarding the recent passing of former Music Biz Chairman David Schlang: We are extremely saddened to hear of the passing of former Music Biz Chairman of the Board David Schlang.
