Music Biz Seeking Marketing & Communications Spring 2018 Interns

The Music Business Association (Music Biz) is seeking two undergraduate or graduate student interns to assist with marketing and communications tasks related to its Music Biz 2018 conference, taking place May 14 – 17, 2018 in Nashville. These paid positions will require 15 hours per week from January 8 through May 11 in our Marlton, NJ office. Please see below for details:


Marketing Intern

Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities:

  • Assist with campaigns related to digital, partnership, social, and content marketing.
  • Scour industry publications and blogs for potential sponsors and advertisers, as well as new database contacts.
  • Revamp the existing Entertainment Guide with new Nashville restaurants and entertainment outlets.

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate.
  • Must be available 15 hours per week from January 8 to May 11, 2018, with most work taking place in our Marlton, NJ office.
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong writing skills are a must.
  • Deep knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint are essential.

Communications Intern 

Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities:

  • Collect and format speaker bios and photos for website and printed Program Guide.
  • Craft social profiles for event speakers to be posted to Facebook and Instagram.
  • Assist with social media and other communications related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate.
  • Must be available 15 hours per week from January 8 to May 11, 2018, with most work taking place in our Marlton, NJ office.
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong writing skills are a must.
  • Deep knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint are essential.
  • Photoshop basics a large plus.
