Using its streaming and social data to unearth music trends for the past two years, music analytics firm Chartmetric is releasing its fourth free “6MO” semi-annual music industry report in January 2021. The Music Biz member company is excited to share their most recent findings: highlighting which artists and tracks broke out in the July-December 2020 timeframe, as well as delving deeper into its exploration of the concept of “trigger cities”, as coined by Chartmetric Chief Commercial Officer, Chaz Jenkins. Celebrating the global digital music environment, Chartmetric wrote extensively on the trigger cities concept in 2019, which discusses major cities in the Southeast Asian and Latin American regions as places to gain more exposure with effective ad spend, “trigger” social and streaming algorithmic benefits, and most importantly, win new fans from all cultures. January 14, 2021 – Streamlining Royalty Payments: Tips for Global Expansion from TuneCore & Payoneer

Many digital publishers, distributors, music labels and performing rights organizations are still finding it difficult to streamline their royalty payouts. Those who figure out the solution are finding that it can be their ticket to expanding their business on a global scale. In this webinar, TuneCore COO Matt Barrington and VP of International Faryal Khan-Thompson join music payments experts from Payoneer to discuss insights on TuneCore’s digital music distribution, publishing and licensing services; the company’s successes in the music space; and how they have overcome digital royalty payments challenges by leveraging Payoneer’s infrastructure.
