Wednesday, July 29

3 – 3:50 PM
Random Group Meetups
Join us as attendees all enter a large “Zoom Room” and we randomly pair up everyone into small groups of 3-4 for speed networking. We’ll do three sessions – all 15 mins each – so make sure you’re on time! You never know what magic could come out of these impromptu meetings!

4 – 4:50 PM
Getting Involved: Create Change, Impact & Community At The Same Time

You don’t have to be a veteran music industry executive to get involved with organizations that can create change outside of your 9 to 5. Whether it’s joining junior boards (or even the executive ones) or hitting up your industry trade association with an idea, there are strategic ways to engage and impact. When doing so however, you’ll want to be cognizant of how you manage your time and respectfully leverage your biz relationships without overstepping. Join this special panel to get the real deal on being involved from young execs who’ve been there, done that and are still searching for answers themselves.

Moderator

  • Sam Juneman, VP Music Tactics & Strategies, Universal Music Group

Panelists

  • Chissy Nkemere, Sr. Director Streaming Marketing, Concord
  • Jen Tanner; Sr. Director, Global Brand Partnerships; RCA Records
  • John Farrey, Label Relations, Amazon Music
  • Will Toms, Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer, REC Philly

5 – 6 PM
Breakouts

Attendees will have the opportunity to attend one of the three professional development conversations below:

1) Joining Boards, Associations & Philanthropic Orgs As A Young Professional
We’ll dive deeper into the last panel and talk about how you can get involved, as well as highlight some of the existing opportunities that are out there.

Important Event Info

LOG-IN & GENERAL INFO

You should have received an email confirmation from Zoom which confirmed your participation in the event. The Eventbrite confirmation was simply for your payment. The reasoning behind these separate emails is because accessing the event is unique to you and can only come from Zoom. The sender was “Music Biz” and the subject was “#NEXTGEN_NOW Summit Confirmation; Add This Reminder To Your Cal!”. Please let us know if you did not receive it and we will happily resend.

We encourage you to add the calendar invite to your schedule. Zoom provides an easy button to do so.

At 3 PM ET each day, or a little before, you’ll click the “Click Here to Join” button in your email from Zoom. This will put you in the main room where you’ll be able to access all other parts of the conference.

When in doubt, always refer back to that email from Zoom. We will also send update emails as needed so please check your inboxes regularly.
