Music Biz Member Shazam Adds Concert Discovery Feature

Apple-owned music recognition tool Shazam has included a new concert discovery feature. By “Shazaming” a song, users can access concert information from Bandsintown for upcoming nearby shows. This new feature allows Bandsintown For Artists allows performers to provide their fans with important tour information including dates, venue location and ticket prices when they search the song via the Shazam mobile app and website.

“Shazam has a long history of innovation in music discovery and connecting artists and fans,” said, Oliver Schusser, Apple’s VP, Apple Music and Beats. “With the reemergence of live music, we’re excited to give Shazam users access to concerts and bring even more discoverability to artists.”
