Music Biz Member Capitol CMG Names Phil Thornton SVP

Capitol Christian Music Group has named Phil Thorton as their new Senior Vice President. In this newly created role, he will focus on signing talent and overseeing label, media & touring partnerships that will lead to new business opportunities for the label. Thornton is set to start his new position on May 3, and will report to the company’s Co-Presidents, Brad O’Donnell and Hudson Plachy

“Joining the Capitol CMG/CMG family, I’ll be working with an amazing array of forward-thinking artists and partners, and drawing upon all of my experience, to create opportunities that will continue to grow our market and impact culture on a global scale,” Thornton said. “I can’t wait to get started.”
