Music Biz Member Amazon Music Expands Step Up Fund Initiative To Support 12 Artists In 2023 

Amazon Music and the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) have announced the return of their Step Up Fund in 2023, an initiative that assists independent artists by helping them overcome financial hurdles and supporting their creative endeavors. This year, the fund has expanded to support 12 artists, who were chosen by a panel of industry experts to receive grants up to £8,000,a one-year membership with the FAC, a 12-month subscription to Amazon Music, an Echo Device, and content creation opportunities. Artists supported by the Step Up Fund in 2023 include Ivor Novello, Amahalia, MOBO, Amie Blu, Aziya, B-Ahwe, Calva Louise, Chalk, Declan Walsh & The Decadent West, Jalen Ngonda, Nix Northwest and Tara Lily. 

“The Step Up Fund is a project that Amazon Music feels really passionate about and we’re thrilled to be able to support it again this year,” said Laura Lukanz, Head of Music UK, Australia & New Zealand, Amazon Music. ”We were overwhelmed by the response from applicants which goes to show just how much this kind of help is needed for aspiring acts. We’re looking forward to working with all of the talented artists involved to help boost their development.”
