If you could have front row tickets to any concert in any city at any venue — what and where would you choose?
Cher. Anywhere. Anytime. A proud and self-proclaimed “mama’s boy,” I’m obsessed with bad-ass women and she’s the baddest. I owe everything I’ve become to the strong women I had in my life growing up– so naturally, when it comes to strong female artists, I’m all in. I’m also very excited about the new crop of female artists making their way into our industry.

Music Biz recently made an announcement that its annual conference will take place in Nashville through at least 2020. What’s your favorite thing to do in Nashville?
I have lived in Nashville since 1990 long before Nashville became the “it” city.  If you’ve never been, think of Nashville as a buffet of small plates and sample as much as you can.

I recommend spending some time on Broadway in the honky tonks (Tootsies, Nudie’s, etc.) where country music is a staple. FGL House is also a great stop (owned by Florida Georgia Line). The Country Music Hall of Fame is a must for newcomers. And if you want to learn more about the legends of country, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and George Jones each have their own museums downtown as well.

If you’re a foodie, there’s plenty to choose from.  One hotspot, Chauhan Ale & Masala House (owned by Food TV judge and Executive Chef Maneet Chauhan) is quite the elevated indian cuisine.  Of course, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken always has a line around the block. But don’t go by my suggestions, ask any young hipster you see.

And if you need a break from the music (which I doubt you will in Nashville), take a stroll over the Cumberland River pedestrian bridge to enjoy the city skyline and make a toast to Music City!
