Scholarship Eligibility

The Braylin Campbell Memorial Music Business Scholarship Foundation
Academic Partners Eligibility Criteria, rev. December 2024

Institution Funds/Scholarships are eligible if they meet the following criteria:

  • Awarded monies must be contributed to an existing “current use” fund at an academic partner institution.
  • Academic partners must be in good standing and their 2024-2025 membership dues must be paid in full.
  • Scholarship recipients must be matriculated students (undergraduate or graduate) participating in a music business program.
    • This fund is not intended for students in music performance programs.
  • Funds must disperse monies to students who demonstrate both academic merit and financial need.
  • Monies can be used to cover approved expenses, i.e., tuition, study abroad, industry conference fees, etc.

Updated Application Process

  • Academic Partners must complete and submit an application via Google Forms for review.
  • Academic Partners must contact Sonya Askew (sonya.askew@musicbiz.org) to verify their membership status and receive access to application form.
  • Each academic partner can submit only one application per year.
  • If an institution receives an award, that institution can apply for monies again the following year.

The 2025 Scholarship Application is now closed.

Institutions who are not Academic Partners are not eligible to apply for Scholarship Foundation funding. For more information about the Academic Partnership program, click here or contact Sonya Askew at sonya.askew@musicbiz.org.
