“The Broadway sensation Hamilton: An American Musical made a major mark on the charts this week, as the new Hamilton Mixtape debuted at #1 on the Nielsen and BuzzAngle Music Charts, earning approximately 190,000 album equivalent units. The album includes guest appearances by artists including Chance The Rapper, Usher, Kelly Clarkson, The Roots, John Legend, and Sia. Several other notable albums made Top 10 debuts this week including The Rolling Stones’ blues tribute Blue & Lonesome at #4 and Childish Gambino’s shift to psychedelic funk “Awaken My Love!” at #5, while 12-year-old America’s Got Talent winner Grace VanderWaal made a strong debut with her first release, Perfectly Imperfect. The Weeknd’s Starboy, which topped the charts with its debut last week, fell to #2 with more than 151,000 units earned. Hip-hop star J. Cole is likely to lead the pack of new releases next week with his fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Only.”
