March 18, 2021 — The Music Business Association (Music Biz) has today confirmed the inclusion of LVRN Co-Founder & President, Tunde Balogun, and Co-Founder & Head of A&R, Justice Baiden, as keynote speakers for its upcoming #NEXTGEN_NOW virtual summit for young music industry professionals. The conversation, taking place Thursday, April 15 from 3:05 – 3:50 pm ET, is just one part of a three-day program that will facilitate introspective conversations between young industry colleagues about personal & professional development, and how their innovative ideas are already transforming the music business.

Headquartered in Atlanta, LVRN (Love Renaissance) is a record label, full-service management team, and growing multimedia company that represents a number of prominent artist voices in today’s popular culture, including three-time GRAMMY-nominated 6LACK, Summer Walker, Shelley FKA DRAM, Cruel Santino and many others. Founded by five first-generation immigrants with roots in Ghana, Nigeria, Trinidad and Jamaica, LVRN’s core mission is one of supporting creative visionaries and empowering them to share their talent with the world through a calculated, hands-on approach. Their keynote interview will discuss entrepreneurship in the modern music business, LVRN’s unique approach to artist development, and the importance of young voices in the music industry.

“After the fervor surrounding our first #NEXTGEN_NOW conference, it’s clear that our community is hungry for discussions about the future of our industry and the young professionals who are shaping it,” said Music Biz President Portia Sabin. “We’re thrilled to welcome Tunde and Justice to the #NEXTGEN_NOW program to break down their unique approach to running a modern music company like LVRN, lending their perspectives as to why age doesn’t always equal authority.”

New discussion topics for this edition of #NEXTGEN_NOW will explore community building through podcasts & newsletters, time management, personal branding, tackling “Imposter Syndrome,” managing a sudden change in employment, nurturing one’s mental health, “side hustles,” and much more. More than 30 young professionals are confirmed to speak, including Aurielle Brooks, Associate Attorney, Arrington & Phillips, LLP; Tatiana Cirisano, Reporter, Billboard; Brandon Holman, Label Partnerships Manager, TikTok; Chelsea Dankner, Director of Marketing, 300 Entertainment; Peter Kadin, VP of Marketing, EMPIRE; Cindy Nguyen, Director of Artist Development & Operations, Head of Pop, Create Music Group; Lillia Parsa, Director of A&R, Universal Music Publishing Group; Joshua “J1” Raiford, Head of Hip-Hop, Pandora/SiriusXM; Christine Osazuwa, Director of Data & Insights – Global Marketing, Warner Music Group; and Olivia Rudensky, Head of Marketing & Digital – Miley Cyrus, Maverick, among others.
