Music Biz & ‘Rock Against Terrorism’ Band Stand with Manchester

Music Business Association President James Donio released the following statement in the wake of the recent events in Manchester, UK:

The Music Business Association is extremely saddened and sickened by the bombing following the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, UK. This is yet another cowardly and horrific act of senseless violence. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy, especially the innocent victims who lost their lives, their families and friends. We just completed our Music Biz conference in Nashville, during which we held our second annual Industry Jam benefit that features our Rock Against Terrorism band. That group was formed in response to the Bataclan massacre in France in November 2015. We cannot allow terrorism to win and we’ll continue our efforts to keep the music playing and support those who have been impacted.
