Online video sharing platform, YouTube has announced a new partnership with Canadian multinational e-commerce company, Shopify, launching new features for viewers and creators. In this new partnership, creators can now sell their products by linking their e-commerce stores to their channels and tagging products to a live stream via Live Control Room. This will allow creators to manage how their products will appear in their channels with YouTube’s new tool, the “Shopping” tab. The company has also introduced shopping destinations for viewers in the U.S., India and Brazil that will showcase music products found in the explore tabs, with additional countries to roll out in the future.
