Music Biz Member Universal Music Group Nashville Names Cindy Mabe CEO & Chair

Universal Music Group Nashville has appointed Cindy Mabe as its next chair and CEO,upon the retirement of Mike Dungan. In 2012, Mabe joined UMGN as SVP of Marketing, a role which saw her lead marketing across Capitol Records Nashville, EMI Records Nashville, MCA Nashville and Mercury Nashville. Over the course of her career, she has helped guide and grow the careers of many Country artists including Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Sam Hunt, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton and Carrie Underwood. In 2014, she became the highest-ranking woman label executive in Nashville when she was appointed President of UMGN. Now, Mabe will serve as the first female chair & CEO of a Nashville-based major label group.
