Universal Music Publishing Group and the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa, OK have launched the Bob Dylan Center Songwriter Fellowship to mentor and develop aspiring songwriters. A panel of global artists will select two fellowship honorees, who will each receive a $40,000 project stipend, public engagement & presentation opportunities, dedicated time to study Dylan’s creative process in the Center’s Bob Dylan’s Archive, and roundtrip airfare to Tulsa with accommodations. The two recipients can also benefit from mentorship from UMPG songwriters & executives, and will be able to record at Leon Russell’s historic Church Studio in Tulsa. Fellowship submissions are open now through October 18th.

“This is an unprecedented opportunity to connect developing talent with the works of one of the greatest songwriters of all time,” said Marc Cimino, COO, UMPG. “Beyond access to meaningful mentorship and special resources, the archives at the Bob Dylan Center are indescribable, and I can only imagine how much creative inspiration they will draw.
