Music Biz Member UMG Launches EMI North in Leeds, Appoints Lucy Dann As EMI Records’ Managing Director

Universal Music Group has announced the launch of a new label based in the northern UK City of Leeds, named EMI North. The label will be dedicated to working with, “…the very best musical talent in the North of England,” and provide young individuals with opportunities in the industry. Clive Cawley, who formerly worked as the Managing Director of EMI Records, will serve as President of EMI North. Click here to learn more about the launch from Digital Music News.

UMG has also appointed Lucy Dann to Cawley’s former role as Managing Director at EMI Records. In this capacity, she will oversee campaigns across the EMI roster and lead the marketing, creative and promotions teams. Prior to joining EMI, Dann spent 10 years at UMG-owned Polydor Records. Over the course of her career, she has worked closely on artists campaigns for Maroon 5, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers, J Cole, Summer Walker, and Troye Sivan.
