Music Biz Member The Orchard Bolsters Executive Team in Africa

The Orchard has announced the appointment of three key executives to bolster its team in Africa.

Mpumi Phillips will serve as the company’s Director of Distribution, and will lead their office in Johannesburg, South Africa.She joins The Orchard with nearly two decades of industry experience, starting as a label manager for Ghetto Ruff and serving 10 years at Sheer Publishing. iKECHUKWU Onuorah has been named Director of The Orchard’s office in Lagos, Nigeria. He has held past roles with Urban Soul Orchestra, Artiste Manager Association Nigeria and the Gidi Culture Festival, among other industry entities. Beth Achitsa was named the company’s Manager of Artist and Label Relations in Nairobi, Kenya. Her previous roles include Production Lead for the East Africa Music Summit, as well as time spent with the Lola Kenya Screen festival.
