Music Biz Member Made In Memphis Entertainment (MIME) Founders Honored In Inaugural Worthy 100 List
Made In Memphis Entertainment’s (MIME) co-founders have been selected for Worth Magazine’s inaugural Worthy 100 List. CEO, David Porter and President & Managing Director, Tony D. Alexander were honored for their commitment to diversity and inclusion to reshape the Memphis music industry through conscientious hiring techniques, along with their support and partnerships with organizations that focus on diversity. The list recognizes entrepreneurs who have used their success and influence to make a positive impact on society.
“I am humbled with this recognition on so many levels, thank you Worth,” said Porter. “My efforts in entrepreneurship as well as musical contributions are grounded in motivating the next generations who look like me that it can be done. Music is and has been my life, so has being diversified in other business. Born in Memphis and wanting awareness of possibilities becomes easier with respected platforms of your level recognizing my efforts in my community. Again Worth, thank you.”
“Thank you to Worth for recognizing the value of MIME’s mission: to develop a pipeline of underrepresented music executives that are committed to serving independent creatives,” said Alexander. “I am proud of the success we have had in Memphis with MIME, where we have nurtured incredible local talents both on the stage and behind the scenes. Now that we have opened our new offices in Atlanta, I am excited to do the same for this burgeoning music industry hub.”
