Music Biz Member Epic Records Promotes Ezekiel Lewis To President

Epic Records has promoted Ezekiel Lewis as the label’s newest President. In his new role, he will help oversee Epic’s daily operations and continue to manage the A&R division. Prior to joining Epic Records, Lewis served as the SVP of A&R at Motown Records where he worked on projects by Ne-Yo, Erykah Badu, Migos, Lil Yachty, T.I. and Rich Homie Quan. He later joined Epic in 2017 as EVP, A&R who later added Head of A&R to his former title in 2020. Lewis will continue to report to Epic Chairwoman and CEO, Sylvia Rhone. 

“Having been a hit songwriter and producer for many years, Zeke brings an invaluable understanding of the artist’s creative journey,” said Rhone. “His knowledge and experience of the inner workings of the music industry give him an immeasurable edge to drive key business conversations, while staying true to his A&R roots.”
