Music Biz Member Concord Acquires Native Tongue

Independent music company, Concord has acquired Native Tongue, an independent Australian music publisher founded in 2003 by Chris Gough. The first Concord Music Publishing Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) offices have been opened in Melbourne, with additional staff based in Sydney and Auckland. Native Tongue’s Managing Director, Jaime Gough and SVP, Chelsea Gough will lead the new venture along with their executive team.

“Australia and New Zealand are important music markets in their own right and this is a region that we have wanted to invest in for many years,” said Concord President of International Publishing, John Minch. This will be an important strategic move for Concord in coordinating our Asia publishing initiatives, which Jaime will handle.
