August 10, 2017 – Glen Campbell’s Digital Music Sales Rise Over 13,000% After His Death

According to BuzzAngle Music, Glen Campbell’s online music sales exploded on the day he died. The company is reporting that his digital album sales rose by an astounding 13,665% on August 8 alone. Incredibly, almost three-quarters of all digital album sales were of compilations featuring the biggest smashes Campbell released in his life. 46% of all digital album sales were of his record 20 Greatest Hits, while another 24% were of the even more simply-titled Greatest Hits collection.... August 7, 2017 – Arcade Fire’s ‘Everything Now’ Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart

Arcade Fire claims its third straight No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as Everything Now arrives atop the tally. The album, which was released July 28 through Columbia Records, earned 100,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 3, according to Nielsen Music. August 3, 2017 – Lana Del Rey Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart, Tyler, The Creator and Meek Mill Bow at Nos. 2 & 3

Lana Del Rey scores her second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as Lust for Life bows atop the Aug. 12-dated tally. The set, which was released on July 21 through Polydor/Interscope Records, earned 107,000 equivalent album units in the week ending July 27, according to Nielsen Music.
