Event Series On Webex — FAQs

The Music Biz Passport series will be hosted in our new Music Biz Events app powered by Webex! This is the app we will use for agenda tracking & networking at our Music Biz 2024 Conference, as well as other virtual events like our Common Ground Webinar Series. The app & desktop platform allows attendees to build connections with folks they meet at all of our events, RSVP & set up calendar invites for sessions they’d like to attend, and access past event recordings when available! 

To help make using the new platform as smooth as possible for our attendees, we’ve prepped the FAQ below to answer any questions you may have! If you have any other questions, please contact Aaron Tochini at aaron.tochini@musicbiz.org.

 

Q: How do I register for the Music Biz Passport series?
Music Biz Passport events will be accessible via the Music Biz Events app powered by Webex (iOS or Android), or the Webex desktop site for Mac & PC.

To register for our events, you can visit the Music Biz Passport page linked here. You’ll need to log into or create a Webex account in order to do so.

PLEASE NOTE: Webex requires you to register for the Passport series as a whole. While confirming your registration details, you’ll have the option to pick which specific sessions you’re interested in attending. That will allow us to send you reminder notifications and updates pertaining ONLY to the events you’re interested in.

 

Q: How do I access the new Music Biz Events App?
To access the Events App for iOS, CLICK HERE.

Q: Is there a preferred method for accessing these events while on a PC or Mac?
If you’re planning to attend a Passport event via Mac or PC, you must use the Google Chrome browser to access all of our event app features. The Webex desktop platform for our Passport series is linked here.

 

Q: How do I attend Music Biz Passport events?
All Music Biz Passport events will be hosted within the Music Biz Events app powered by Webex (iOS or Android), or the Webex desktop site via Google Chrome.

To attend the event you’re interested in, log into the app or desktop platform on the day the session is set to take place. Then, navigate to the “Agenda” section, and click on the calendar entry for the event taking place. From there, a video window will pop up for you to view the event.

 

Q: How do I access the Upcoming Music Biz Passport Schedule?
Our current Passport schedule can be found in two places:

1) By logging into the Webex app/desktop platform (see above) and clicking “Agenda”

2) By visiting our website — CLICK HERE TO ACCESS

 

Q: Where can I access past Passport event recordings?
Recordings of past Passport events can be found by logging into the Webex app/desktop platform (see above), clicking the Agenda feature, go to the event you’d like to watch and click “View Recording.”
