The music industry is full of acronyms to the point where it sometimes seems to be speaking a separate language. Nowhere is this more the case than when it comes to the rights management sector of the business, where all sorts of acronyms exist which represent parts of the transaction processing that supports rights management.
However, all these acronyms and some understanding of them is required if you are a creator or musician or are starting out in the music industry. The purpose of this survey is to try to determine if you know what the acronyms stand for and describe what it is. The survey is not to find out how much or little you know but to enable the industry to consider what educational work needs to be done to improve understanding of all these acronyms.
