The Orchard has an immediate opening for a NY-based Product Manager. This position will manage all aspects of key artist campaigns with a creative marketing focus. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of and experience in the music industry, is knowledgeable about North American marketing opportunities and has a network to tap into.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and execute global artist marketing plans from inception to completion
  • Highlight industry trends and marketing opportunities; apply findings to campaigns
  • Liaise with all Orchard teams, including: creative, advertising, sales, branding, sync, legal, and finance to ensure the entire company is on board and contributing to each release
  • Administer and track in real-time each project’s marketing spends, work with finance team to understand the impact of marketing initiatives on the artist’s overall performance
  • Coordinate with artist management to facilitate delivery of audio assets, metadata, and artwork on time and in line with Orchard specifications
  • Manage artist release setup to ensure that the production process stays on schedule
  • Help create and facilitate artist pitches and represent The Orchard during artist meetings and shows
  • Proactively identify potential growth areas and anticipate issues, and highlight areas for discovery
  • Act as local industry representative attending events and conferences as required

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience and understanding of the local music industry and digital landscape
  • 3+ years music industry experience within a label or artist management, handling frontline releases and relationships
  • In-depth knowledge of artist campaigns, marketing strategies, and related concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain high level relationships with key players
  • Highly advanced organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tight deadlines
  • Confident demeanor and ability to build relationships with artists/labels and management teams
  • Passionate about Independent music, with a willingness to attend industry events and shows
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required and ability to travel
