The document builds on last year’s release to provide even more valuable tips and tricks that bands, record labels, physical and digital retail outlets, and other music companies can use to ensure that their websites are easily searchable via Google, Bing, and other search engines. Music Biz 2015 to Be Held in Nashville May 12-14 5.07.14

May 7, 2014 – After four years in Los Angeles, the Music Business Association’s (Music Biz) annual convention is moving to Nashville – the first time in the organization’s 50+ year history that “Music City USA” has hosted this event. Country Music Association to Host Meetup at Music Biz 2014 on May 4.30.14

April 30, 2014 – The Music Business Association (Music Biz), formerly NARM and digitalmusic.org, has partnered with the Country Music Association (CMA) to program this year’s Country Music Meetup, which will be held May 8 during the Music Biz 2014 conference at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. The event is the latest in Music Biz’s series of genre-specific meetups and the first to be organized by the CMA. It will feature experts from Rdio, Made In Network, Shazam, Nielsen Entertainment, and the CMA itself who will profile today’s Country consumer and highlight how the genre’s music is being discovered across physical, digital, and mobile formats.

Record-Breaking Film Soundtrack ‘Frozen’ to Be Honored with Music Biz Outstanding Achievement Award 4.23.14

The soundtrack has spent 11 nonconsecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard charts, breaking The Lion King’s record for most weeks at #1 for an animated film soundtrack. It’s also the longest reign for any album since Adele’s 21 back in 2011 and 2012.
